Why can't they play the School of Dance and Poetry? I bet they would be competitive!
They should also compete against the teams in the midget football league --- perhaps they'd finally win a game!
I don't think they could beat their own chearleaders!
Why doesn't Butler just get out of the football program? They are an embarrasment. It can't be fun to be on that team.
C'mon youse guys (who are complaining about the BHS football program)...get a room!
Youse know all too well football is a great American game that builds character, strong bodies, big piles of money, beer ads, couch potatoes and deep insight into the Universe's beginnings. Playing the game is more important than winning...but, of course, doesn't bring in the big bucks like winning does.
If youse think you can do better with the program, get youse self a degree in ath-a-letics from Penn State, procreate football players and get out on the field to win...and stop complaining.
Back last century, 19 Hundred and 51, BHS had a winning team and that was when boys were men and Capezuti was coach....where is he now that he is needed?
That game against Seneca the score does not reflect how the program won on so many levels. The players, coaches, admin, and fans should be proud of how they played. The Butler fan base who attended the game came away impressed with our boys. BHS didn't lay down. Seneca earned the win.
I heard that they petitioned to allow 18 players out in the field instead of 11.
I've been very critical of the program here, but see each season as a body of work. Too early to tell yet.
Is it true the tackling dummies are dressed up like Bratz dolls?
Go Butler...beat Shaler!
I had the pleasure of meeting some of the players during two a days this summer. Good group of kids.
Hats off to Butler for getting the job done against Shaler. Way to go!
Two wins, maybe something good is finally happening, but still too early to tell for sure.
How are the crowds? I remember both sides of the stadium being filled in the late 60s during my time there.
butler makes the playoffs for the first time since 1989!!!!
How does a team that is 4-5 make the playoffs? The got destroyed by every descent team in the league!
How does a lousy team with a 4-5 record make the playoffs. The got destroyed by every team that was average or above.
I wonder how many of these people who make such indignent comments about these kids ever dawned a football uniform.Keep playing kids ,don't pay attention to these non participaters from their high school days.I still remember the brisk friday nights and the games it was a great feeling.
Butler High football players. Big attitudes, no accomplishments. They team making this year's playoffs was like a C student making the Honor Roll.
This was the best team ever!
This team was a true championship team - best ever!!!!
I was going to attend their playoff game but I couldn't. There was an all-day "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" marathon on TV.
1989? Butler was in the WPIAL finals in 1990 and semifinals in 1992. And made one other playoff appearance in teh 1990's too.
