This is such a sad day for our nation and our world. Let us find the path of love and come together worldwide to end the madness of violence and to end the rhetoric of division. We are all human. We are all Children of God. We are all worthy of love and forgiveness.

I was just there a week ago, visiting for a luncheon with my BHS '71 classmates. Ironically, the Butler Farm Show was in full swing; I did not attend but I drove out Rt. 68, the Evans City Road to visit friends in Meridian and on Benbrook Road. This was a security lapse, so glad the assailant with NOT from Butler...

Thankful that an assassination was not carried out, but it's still sad that an attempt happened in our small town. The truth may never be officially stated, and that will only serve to keep the "theories" alive.
