I was in town last month and had checked out all the choices you have mentioned and nothing seemed to fit. The creek does turn to the left beyond the swinging bridge but the houses there don't match the picture. The same problem with the view looking towards Wayne and Diamond Streets. My latest guess is the foot bridge off Cliff street over to the old athletic field. We used to walk down there from the Jr High for gym class. If that is right the view would be from along Cunningham St. and the buildings are long gone. Also could it be a railroad bridge that is also gone?
I was wondering if this picture might have been taken at the end of Negley Ave. looking towards the Wayne St. bridge that is no longer there. The white houses in the background would be on Diamond St.???
I spent half my childhood knee deep in that creek. More fun than all the video games ever made.
So it sounds like the swinging bridge is gone? I was on it a few years back when visiting, and it was barely there. I was born on Diamond Street right next to it.

I can't get my bearings on this picture. Where angle was the picture taken from?
I wondered the same thing. What bridge would this be?
Is it the Bridge that was on Wayne St or Diamond St before the Flood Control Project?
To me, it looks like the photo was taken of the Diamond Street swinging bridge looking toward Wayne.
