This one is testing my memory-is this the one that was on West Jefferson St. ? I remember the name, but not the location. It's possible that it was before my time(doubt it)
I think Peggy Lou's was on south monroe street. Ruth Ann's was on Elm street, don't remember the name of the one on Jeff,it was just east of the Hot Dog.
Not sure where to post this comment, so thought I'd try here. First, as someone who was born and raised in Butler, love this blog and visit it often ... so many times it has rekindled memories of a great childhood during a simpler time. My grandfather, and then my father for awhile, owned Neuf's Hardware on Main Street across from Crawford's Jewelry and Cummings. This was back in the 40s, 50s, and early 60s. Would anyone happen to have any photos of the storefront or know my family. Thanks

Peggy Lou was on South Monroe Street I lived right across the street and remember the heavenly smells from there and Chandlers Bakery
The bakery on Jefferson was The Lincoln Bakery. Their baked goods were the best. Great place to stop after school.

My Wedding cake came from Peggy Lou's A Happy Memory.
