I spent 3 years at Center Ave. school smelling the bread bake at Chantler's Bakery across the street. The fire sirens at the fire house up the street was always exciting during the school day.
Center Avenue used to have a lot of activity. Good stores. Nice place to walk. Totally different today. Too bad it went the way it did. Still have good memories of the old days.
We seem to remember a hotel on Center Avenue. Think it was called the Bowman Hotel. Does anyone know any history about this? It was torn down over a decade ago (or longer).

My grandpa, Rudolph Kudika, owned the Bowman Hotel! Please let us know anything you remember or know about it!
