i haven't been home for awhile, please tell me they still have the red brick building? used to remember the red/yelow brick buildings, went there for 2 years..moved to Md in 1989,ahhh the memories of Jr high..would love to see if anyone i went to school with reads the blog
Talking about memories - The infamous "Red-Brick Building" and "Yellow-Brick Building" description distinctions (Anyone remenber the cafeteria in the basement of the YBB?) Both served us well, though, having went there during the turbulent late 60's and early 70's. Even though we weren't immune from the same problems as other larger towns, Butler was, in my opinion, a safe haven during those times. Will never regret having been raised there.
I remember the yellow brick building for grades 7-8 and you went to the red brick building for 9th grade. The yellow brick building had creaking staircases. That was a great memory .

Doesn't hold a candle to the old one, that storehouse of treasured memories.
