My family (before I was born) lived in a rented house at Oak and Polk Streets. My sister, oldest brother talked of sledding there. Would have been 1954-56 time frame.
My family, before I was born, rented a house at Oak St and Polk St. The house still stands. Last time I passed, it was a light yellowish color. When my fam lived there it was gray. Garage could not hold the car because the floor would not have supported the weight. The house I grew up in, on College St., was purchased in 1956 I believe. We sold it in 2000.

Didn't sled ON Oak st. Sled riding was on Oak and Fulton which was a closed grassy hill that went down to Monroe St. "Killer Hill" as some called it !
Before I was born, my family called a rented house near Oak & Polk St intersection. From 1954 till almost 1957.
