The Larkin Building that I am familiar with was under the Wayne St. Viaduct near the B&O train station.

Perhaps under or at the Wayne St. viaduct. Unfortunately, the building referenced is not shown in photo or painting at the website. http://www.butlerwalldogs.com/larkin/

"Fishing" in this context is not about rods and reels and lakes and rivers. Fishing in the drilling business has to do with retrieving equipment, pipes and so forth from a work site.

Larkin and Company was located in a number of buildings on the north side of Center Ave between the B&O RR tracks and Fairvew Ave. I would think that the RR tracks are the B&O line which is now used by the Buffalo and Pittsburgh RR. There were a number of driveways/alleys that serviced the buildings that did not face Center Ave. Went there a couple of times with my neighbor that had oil well in northern Butler County.

W. H. Larkin & Co. was founded in 1885 by Thomas and W. G. Hays, as the Hays Bros. They sold their interest in 1887 to Larkin, Warhus & Co. Warhus sold out to Larkin in 1890.

In 1905, 23 year old, John Larkin, a son of W. H., left Butler for Oklahoma and started his own company. In 1929 the J. J. Larkin, Jr. and W. H. Larkin companies were incorporated at one firm.

Today, the Larkin Products, LLC has offices all over the oil patch.

If you look at the construction photo of the Wayne Street bridge, you will see the building to the south side of the bridge construction.
