Just abeam the cemetery entrance you catch a glimpse of the town; the striking feature is the amalgamation of church steeples. I once encountered an insurance executive from Aliquippa, when he learned that I was from Butler he launched into an excited verbal essay about his first journey up the South Main Street hill, bricked street and all.
