Keeping up with past and present happenings in a remarkable small town.
This picture brings back memories. In about 1945 there were Friday night get togethers for 5th & 6th grade "kids". There were games and music and dancing and refreshments! It was a good time.
The cafeteria was great and we would go there often. I loved the pies.
Was this house torn down to build the new YWCA?
I think that would have to be the case if it were across from the bus terminal. Does anyone recall if the dances for junior high age kids in the new YMCA had a name?
Fun o rama was the yw's dance, tumble inn at the old ym. don't know about the new y.
I remembered Tumble Inn, not the other. Thanks for the help!
YWCA had a cafeteria with the best pecan pie.
