Hoagie Shop ~

What? Still open, you mean government regulators haven't managed to regulate and harass this obviously thriving business to death yet? A miracle.
It was called Miller's Hoagies when I was a kid and the thing that's interesting about it's survival is that the Hoagie Shop is just around the corner from the star-crossed (now gone) Hot Dog Shop.
there is a world beyond Mc Kean Street. Bob dorcy has not been to Slippery Rock to experience a Bob's Sub (next to Ginger Hill Tavern on South Main St.)
Love the way they package their fries in the brown little bags, help soaks up the grease and their steak w/ sauce and cheese can't be beat, when you take off the ''gum'' band you're in for a treat
The Hoagie Shoppe is the best ever, I have'nt been home in years, but I still remember the best places to eat. The Hot Dog Shop and the Hoagie Shop. And yes I remember the fights behind that store. There was always one guy everyone was afraid of. By the way, I noticed that no one signs their name to this blog. Interesting, I wonder why?

ha ha bob dorcy you are correct. It's an honest no frills sub shop(befitting a college town) Very good subs. I recommend a Giant roast beef. Enjoy.
I remember that behind "The hoagie shop" was the preferred place to fight or sneak a cigarette in junior high.
great hoagies at a reasonable price and they use higher quality ingredients than the chains.
I beat the crap outa many a weakling behind the Hoagie Shop. Ah, good times!

Wondering if the Bob's Sub in Slippery Rock is related to the Bob's Sub in Clarion. It is a humble landmark with delicious subs.
