This storm was the backdrop for one of my earliest memories. Was about 3 and a half at the time. We lived in a house on Northwest’s Elm street. The level of the porch was about 5 feet above the yard. My Dad and I were going out to play in the snow and he picked me up and dropped me off the porch and into the deep snow.
Love your blog and the time you take to showcase all the great parts of our city and PA. I would like to compliment your photography skills you do a great job captivating the history and meaning behind the structure you photo graphs. Regardless of size, shape, or location you still capture the essence of what your photographing.
Also, If you have time please check out a blog I recently helped write. I hope you enjoy the information. It may not pertain to you but it does effect the people of Pennsylvania. Hope you enjoy it and thanks again for the great blog.

I remember shoveling my neighbor's sidewalk. It took me two hours and all I got was 15 cents. I threw it on his sidewalk! I showed him!
I remember that the Butler Township schools, including McQuistion, were closed for a whole week -- a week of sled riding and snowball fights.
