Johnson's Restaurant ~

Not Howard Johnson's. This was the Johnson family that was part owner of Lloyd-Johnson Co. This is actually the same store, long before the Office Supply store was in it.
Thanks: Celia Snodgrass

I never knew this. When did it close? I worked for the Office Supply for a short time in 1974 IIRC.

I sure don't remember this but I do remember Lloyd Johnsons stationery. There must have been a kitchen here and was it mothballed or torn out? I remember Johnnies bar in this area at one time. Was it in this location and used that kitchen? Lots of interesting places on main street.

The entrance to the bar was a set of stairs that went to a basement.
They were beside the first building on the street, and they are long gone.

I am a member of the John Johnson family and this restaurant was not owned by our family. It would be interesting to know the date of the photo and who did have ownership.

Ladies always stopped for Johnson's.

The name of the bar was Pell's. I don't know if it was the same name as the restaurant, but the entrance was the stairs on the south side of the building that went downstairs.

My wife used to say a Johnson a day keeps the doctor away.
