This shot brings back great memories. We knew that Butler was a strong producer and we all had jobs and got our paychecks. And there was a great feeling of togetherness and strength in the mills.
I woeked as a conductor on the b$le rr for 32 yrs...have been retired now for abt 25 yrs ...loved that job..we were very busy in my time with iron ore going south and coal going north ..working the Armco and all the sideings along the way..miss it....

Started working there in 1962 as a welding inspector. Worked there for about 4 years.

I can remember hearing the steam engines on these tracks.

My grandfather worked here as well, Robert (Bob) Dally.I want to say he lost a finger or two there, so that's what he told me when I was lil. Lol
We always looked over from Route 8 to see the new railroad cars they were making.
