My husband (Paul Gregg) was there several years probably in 1957-59 or so. I remember convincing his parents to take me with them to parents visitation day. I started going there in '62' or '63' with the cub scouts, went with the boy scouts till '70' even went twice a year with the O.A. to help set up and I do not remember these buildings.
I was there during the summers of 64 and 65, and don't recall those buildings either, but do remember the good times. Think that at that point, it was the longest I had been away from home at one time. Thanks for the photo, super memories!
We don't think this is Camp Bucoco, husband was a boy scout in western PA many years and maybe this is a smaller troop camp at the Wildeman farm ?? need some other western PA folks to chime in. They look to be doing maintenance on the screen door. See the roll of screen near the mans knee. Could be a newer photo with just an 'old car' parked 'out back'. Large camps would have the cars in the parking lots.
My experiences and memories of Camp Bucoco were all wonderful. The period was 1951 to 1955. We could satisfy the requirements for 2-3 merit badges in 2 weeks. Always remember going into the forbidden cave that was used by criminals in the mid 1800's ? Got my OA and Eagle badges there. Am very sorry to hear the ads on the radio about the lawsuit against BSA. The times have changed The Butler Native Son

From the clothing,hairstyles and car in the background,I'd guess 1940 to 45 some where. I spent two summer camps there in 1957 58. Lot of fun.

As I recall, the camp was along the Slippery Rock creek where there was a swimming "hole" that was used by those who spent a week at camp.

By the looks of the car in the background it must have been taken back in the 1940s.
