I still remember Miss Shanor at the Butler Junior High....Her room was across from the band room and she made you stand when you gave an answer in her class.
Was in first grade in 1954. I think that is the principal (Mr. Shrecker??) to our left of Miss Shanor. Contrary to rumor, he did not have a "paddle machine".
I was called to the office on a routine matter and thought I was going to face the machine. I started crying. This kind principal comforted me and assured me the machine was an invention of the older students !!

It looks like Miss Shanor (she went to my church). I believe the principal is Wallace Kerr. He was there when I attended school there in 1965-1967.
