I took a walking tour of Diamond Park this year sponsored by Butler Downtown. The tour guide, who was one of the best speakers and storytellers I have ever heard, told all about the monument and cannons and stories behind them. If you get a chance to go on that tour or the Ghost Walk of downtown, it has the same tour guide, I would highly reccommend it! The Ghost Walk was through the Butler Civil War Roundtable

To see it this way I must say it is a beautiful monument Butler can be proud of.
yeah it's great, think of all the deaths associated w/ the park, i'm sure they were glad to give their lives for the war industry
