Remember Wolf, Bear and Lion badges but not much else. We used to meet at the Mercer Road Volunteer Fire Dept. I loved their mid-thirties LaFrance fire engine which sounded like a fighter plane when they fired it up. Never really had much interest in the Boy Scouts.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14858576.post-64177295812853556382008-06-13T15:49:00.000+02:002008-06-13T15:49:00.000+02:00Butler also had a Sea Scout organization in the 50...Butler also had a Sea Scout organization in the 50's. It met at the triangle shaped building at the corner of E. Jefferson and Kittanning Streets. The leader was a State Policeman named Lofblaud. A very good man. There was the laypout of a ship's deck on the third floor of the bulding. Great times.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14858576.post-77843616142664851352007-07-24T11:15:00.000+02:002007-07-24T11:15:00.000+02:00What I learned in the Boy Scouts has served me wel...What I learned in the Boy Scouts has served me well in life and I am ever thankful for those good years.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14858576.post-63646868660980351232007-07-24T02:56:00.000+02:002007-07-24T02:56:00.000+02:00thats pretty coolthats pretty coolAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
