This was a very busy area of town in the early to mid 1900s. Now the surrounding area is run down buildings. Sad to see this happen, but it is not just happening here. Everything changes. If anyone has an interesting story about this area, we would enjoy reading them on this blog.
My dad took me here around 1959 or 60 he had a meeting in a back room. You walk in and there were rooms to the right and left and stairways going up both walls to the 2nd floor with the register desk in the middle. first time I ever saw anything like that. I think of it every time I go by. Jim Bellis
